To file a Life claim with Aetna, you may need to speak with an Aetna customer service representative. All of our representatives have been specially trained to help you complete this process as quickly and easily as possible.

Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time.


You will be asked for the name, Social Security number, and other information about the deceased member. The Aetna service representative will guide you through the claims process.

The beneficiary will need to provide a death certificate for the claim to be processed. Life claims are usually paid within 10-15 days, depending on the circumstances.
