Supplier Diversity FAQs
How to register:
- Registration is simple, quick and free.
- Fill out the
supplier registration form.
- All items with a green asterisk (*) are mandatory fields. It is important that ALL requested areas be filled out to ensure your registration form is processed correctly.
- Please verify that all information is accurate before submitting.
- Aetna conducts business electronically with ALL suppliers so the registration form is only accessible online. For access to the registration form, you will need Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape 6.0 or higher.
- Additionally, you will need a Dun and Bradstreet (D&B DUNS) Number. This number is an internationally recognized company identifier in EDI and global electronic commerce transactions.Obtain a D&B DUNS Number .We recommend requesting a D&B DUNS Number as soon as possible.
- Please keep in mind that registering with Aetna’s database does not guarantee Aetna’s business with your company.
Once you have registered, there is no need to contact us. We will review your registration and keep the information on file until we invite your company to participate in a sourcing event. To avoid processing congestion, please wait for Aetna to initiate further contact.

Approval Information
- If Aetna approves your registration, it will be stored in the supplier database.
- You will receive an email containing a URL (link) to your company’s Sourcing Workbench (webpage), accompanied by a user ID and temporary password. This will allow you to access your company’s information. Each supplier is responsible for keeping the most current information on file. This can be done by clicking on “View or Modify My Vendor Information” from your workbench.
- Aetna uses the Ariba Supplier Network (ASN) to communicate purchase orders to the suppliers with whom we choose to do business. Suppliers that have a new relationship with Aetna will receive an invitation to register with ASN. Please visit the Ariba Supplier Membership Program to review the membership features and benefits of ASN and any associated fees. .
